Forever Pets
Who We Are
Forever Pets is a nonprofit, NO KILL animal adoption organization, staffed by volunteers. We are dedicated to finding permanent, loving and responsible homes for the animals in our care. Our goal is to stop companion animals from being killed, and to decrease animal over-population.
We provide to all animals in our care, spay and neuter services, as well as needed medical treatment, and comfort care. Our source of funding comes from adoption fees, monetary and service donations and fundraising events.
Our Programs Include
SPAY & NEUTER:
In Shasta County each year, over 10,000 healthy adoptable dogs and cats are destroyed. The solution to this situation is to reduce pet over-population by 10,000 animals each year. Spaying and neutering is the key to reduce unwanted puppies and kittens.
FOSTER PROGRAMS:
Animal lovers take dogs and/or cats into their homes temporarily, and care for the needs of their "Foster Pets". Working hand-in-hand with FOREVER PETS, these "Pet Parents" keep animals healthy, groomed, socialized, and made available for adoption.

FOSTER PARENT SPONSORS: Animal lovers who are unable to take a pet into their own home can insure a dog's or cat's well-being by donating financial support for maintenance costs of a foster pet.
ADOPTIONS: FOREVER PETS outreach adoption programs give our dogs and cats the opportunity to be placed in homes with responsible, loving families committed to life-long ownership.

MEMBERSHIP: $20 A YEAR
Your membership in FOREVER PETS supports our foster care and adoption programs. Additional donations directly support our spay/neuter efforts for every animal we place. 100% of every dollar donated to this fund will be spent on spaying and neutering, "preventing litters, saving lives".
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: FOREVER PETS' volunteers are needed for: spay/neuter assistance outreach adoption programs pet care seminars foster parent/sponser programs fundraising clerical/computer help groomers/cat care transporting animals.
DONATIONS REQUESTED: FOREVER PETS always has a need for: dog/cat food, kitty litter, collars, leashes, cages, kennels, carriers/dog houses, bedding, cat/dog toys, advertising space, and monetary donations.

Please remember that Redding is located in Northern California .... just short of the Oregon Border. We will contact you and set up a time and place to meet your potential pet.
Please keep in mind that making an inquiry and/or filling out an adoption application, does not guarentee that the animal you are interested in will be placed in your home.
ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE: Spayed/neutered
CATS -- Basic vaccines FVRCP -- Felv/Fiv tested.
DOGS --Basic vaccines DHPPv + Cv, Bordetella, Rabies, Heartworm tested
and current on Heartworm prevention.
All are de-wormed and de-fleaed. Also, when adopting from us, you will get a free health exam at local participating vets plus a coupon booklet from Petco.
